Parker County Young Marines was established October, 2003
The first Commanding Officer was Mrs. Quine Collins, U. S. Marine Veteran.
For the first couple of years, the unit was made up mainly of female Young Marines.
Through time, the unit has evolved of consist of about 30 percent female Young Marines and 70 percent male Young Marines.
 
  Our Training covers many of the subjects taught by the U. S. Marines.  These include: Close Order Drill (COD), Leadership, Team Work, Map Reading, Compass Work, Fire Prevention, First Aid, and Drug Demand Reduction (Just Say No!), Parades, Color Guards, Encampments, Community Services, and many others.
 
We meet normally the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month.
We meet at the Springtown ISD Bus Barn, 500 PoJo Drive.
Our Drill days start at 7:50 AM till 4:00 PM.
 
Recruit Training is integrated into our normal Young Marine Drill Day!
 
We have Open Enrollment All Year Long!
